Red, White, and Blue

Update: I know it's been "only" 4 months since I updated but here are the final results.

The full list of heroes I intend to animate are: (*=who answered correctly)

Superman *Eunice
Spiderman *Tyrone
Captain America *AW
Mark (Gatchaman/G Force) *Tyrone
Optimus Prime *Tyrone
Underdog *not guessed by anyone

Thanks for playing!

Since Debbie has installed an animation program, my slow going yearlong project is to make a 30 second animation project showing all of the heroes I grew up loving.

The game is: name all of the heroes that wear/have red and blue.

Game 4: Surprise!

OBJECTIVE: Strike a silly pose after the lights turn on.

CREATED BY: Dennis Tan

RULES:
1. One person turns off the lights.
2. Everyone else strikes a pose.
3. The person turns the lights back on.
4. Everyone laughs at each other.

HISTORY
: CEFC Summer Conference '98. This was played late night with Emmanuel Fellowship in one of the apartments. Dennis made this game up on the fly and convinced us all to play even though we all thought it was stupid.

FUNNIEST MOMENT (for me): Once we agreed to play, Dennis gave us the signal to prepare to strike a pose. Less than a second after Dennis gave us the signal, Reuel turns to me and says, "Let me put my head under your shirt."

Game 3: German Shepherd

OBJECTIVE: Be the first to shepherd a German Shepherd. In other words...be the first player to locate a stray German Shepherd and get it to follow you home.

RULES: The only rule is that the German Shepherd must be a stray.

HISTORY: This was played in Germany back in 2001. We arrived here on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately, almost everything closes early on a Sunday. After having eaten dinner, there wasn't much to do. Not only was everything closed but there weren't any sightseeing options in this region of Germany. After having a drink, I made up the premise of this game.

My wife laughed and said that being in Germany doesn't necessarily mean there's an army of stray German Shepherds. She doubted that we would even find one.

After traversing the avenues and alleyways for about 10 minutes, a stray German Shepherd started running head on at me. Of course I was beyond excitement. However, as soon as it ran up to me, it made a turn toward a pole to my left and began to urinate.

WHEN WE PLAYED: Germany 2001 with my wife and a few friends.

*By the way, that is not a German Shepherd in the picture. But that is my favorite dog.

Game 2: Where My Bus?

OBJECTIVE:
Compete with a friend to guess when your bus will arrive. (*note: the fun factor is only existent when you're vacationing with your spouse and/or friends in a region with around the clock shuttle services).

RULES:
Upon arrival at the bus stop, each player predicts what time the bus will arrive. The person who comes closest wins (no penalty if the bus arrives prior to a player's time prediction).

HISTORY: Debbie and I like to started playing this year at Disney World because the shuttle arrivals were so inconsistent. One day we had a minimal wait time all day. The next day, we'd have to wait 20-25 min.

The title of this game (and title of this site) is an homage to the NBA on TNT game "Who He Play For?" where Charles Barkley was given the name of a player that switched teams during the off-season and he had to guess the new team he plays for. The title is also an homage to the Boost Mobile tagline: "Where You At?"

WHEN WE PLAYED: August 2007 in Orlando, FL with my wife.

Game 1: "Dance With Me"

OBJECTIVE: Select a guy and a girl and connect them within 6 degrees through:
-dance dates
and/or
-dating relationships

EXAMPLE: Objective is to connect Rick Zuniga to Danette

1) Rick Zuniga
danced with Elaine K. at her prom
2) Elaine K. danced with Jason at his prom
3) Jason dated/married Debs
4) Debs
danced with Richard Wong at her prom
5) Richard danced with
Danette at her winter ball

HISTORY:
This is the first official irreverent game I created. Danette, my wife, and myself went to visit Richard in Scotland in July 2001. The first thing we did was take a tour of The Highlands. Our first night was spent at a bed and breakfast which did not have anything entertaining. Since, Dan, my wife and me couldn't sleep due to severe jet lag, we were forced to entertain ourselves.

WHEN WE PLAYED:
1) 2001 in Scotland (Dan, Debs, Richard, me)
notes: while it generated many laughs, it was deemed too dangerous

2) 2007 at Eunice's Canadian send off party.
notes: it was not really played but only set up to see if she would get mad at me for making her play
I made her draw from a paper bag with a bunch of names (all of them Aaron Wai) she had to connect herself to him.
My plan was to have her link:

1. Aaron Wai
danced with Karena at her prom
2. Karena dated/married Victor

3. Victor dated Eunice

However, she outsmarted me by saying, "I went to grad-night with Aaron."

3) 2007 at CEFC Summer Retreat
important note: My wife has banned me from ever playing it again (outside of this site) due to the fact that is promotes exclusive socialization which I feel convicted of. Please don't play this game in public unless everyone can participate.

So, those of you that know the following 2 people,
the current stumper is:

Rick Zuniga to Judy Kwan

Post in the comments section if you can connect them in 6 degrees.
*Update: someone has been able to connect them in 8 degrees.
